“I will never be beholden to corporate donors,” she said in an interview. “I don’t take corporate money. I will never be beholden to party leadership because I don’t represent party leadership. The job I’m asking for is representing the people here. That’s what voters are looking for.”

A big thanks to everyone who came out yesterday to support our campaign for Congress! It was an honor to be joined by elected officials from across the district. Thank you, Christopher Ryan, Tom Drumm, Joseph Driscoll, Kerin Rigney, Debby McCormick, Keith Batman, and Dennis Merlino for standing with us.
Warrantless ICE Raids Must Stop
This kind of action is not allowed in the United States, and it is wrong. We cannot turn a blind eye or stay silent, and neither should our representatives in Washington.
Call your member of Congress and ask them to join Senator Gillibrand in demanding an investigation into the ICE raid in Rome, New York, and then let me know how your call went.
Dana Balter on Education & Civil Rights Protections
It’s unfathomable to me that we have people heading public agencies who are trying to undermine civil rights protections. Protecting the civil rights of the people who live in this country is one of the most important functions of our federal government. If you care as much as I do about protecting the civil rights of our students, please contact Betsy DeVos and tell her you want these protections to remain in place because we need to make sure that our schools are safe and healthy learning environments for every single one of our kids.
We have to get serious about preventing gun violence.
I am calling on Congress to make the repeal of the Dickey Amendment a number one legislative priority. Anybody who is serious about addressing this problem needs to support that. And I hope that you will call your representatives in Congress and in the Senate and ask them to make this a top priority.
