Voting Information for New York Primary
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Governor has issued an executive order to allow us to vote from home for the June 23, 2020 primary election because no one should have to choose between their health and their right to vote. Voting from home is safe, easy, and secure, so make a plan to vote by absentee. Your vote is your voice.
Vote From Home in 4 Easy Steps
Per the Governor Executive Order, every eligible voter can request an absentee ballot for the June 23rd election by selecting the “Temporary Illness” excuse. Here is how:
- Step 3:
- Your ballot will be mailed to you with a postage-paid return envelope.
- Step 4:
- Put your ballot in the official Board of Elections return envelope as soon as possible. Ballots must be postmarked by June 22, 2020.
Note: If you do not fill out an application for an absentee ballot, an application for an absentee ballot will be mailed to all eligible voters per the Governor Executive Order. Call your Board of Elections if you have questions.
Early voting will still be available & polls will be open on June 23, 2020 from 6am – 9pm.
